Cessna 190
Heritage Experience
The 1950 Cessna 190, N190S, brings golden-age general aviation to life through static or featured aircraft presentation, period storytelling, aircraft-centered stories and audience engagement.
What’s Included
- Cessna 190 heritage aircraft appearance
- Mr. “DC” Wolfe, circa-1950 business owner and retired U.S. Navy Captain (O-6), in a circa-1950 business suit and fedora
- Aircraft-side historical storytelling and educational interpretation
- Flight-line audience interaction and guest photography opportunities
- Announcer support materials
Ground participation is coordinated with the producer for the selected experience.
Invitation-only Sponsor Aviation Experience opportunities may be discussed separately where appropriate. No public rides.

Boeing Stearman
Airshow Experience
A planned flying performance combining vintage aerobatics, smoke, period-inspired music and immersive storytelling, connecting aviation history with audiences in the air and on the ground.
What’s Included
- Planned Stearman flying/display appearance, subject to confirmed readiness and event arrangements
- Immersive Period Presentation featuring Captain “DC” Wolfe as a WWII-era U.S. Navy Captain (O-6), in a historically informed WWII-era U.S. Navy uniform for selected ground appearances
- WWII aviation storytelling and educational interpretation
- Flight-line audience interaction and guest photography opportunities
- Announcer support materials
Ground participation is coordinated with the producer for the selected experience.
Target Fall 2027. Performance availability remains subject to qualifications, approvals, insurance and operational readiness.
Separate booking options. Retro-Aero offers the Cessna 190 Heritage Experience and Stearman Airshow Experience as separate booking options. Retro-Aero would normally bring one aircraft experience to an event.

About Dale Melichar
Barnstormer | Immersive Storyteller
Dale Melichar is an Airline Captain and Check Airman with ATP, CFI, CFII and MEI credentials. He portrays Captain “DC” Wolfe, a fictional living-history character. An aviation educator and historical storyteller, Dale connects aircraft, people and historical context through Immersive Period Presentation and approachable conversation, giving producers an engaging presence that invites curiosity, questions and personal connection.
